South Dakota State University’s Horizons project will host a seminar on the steps of applying for community grants. At the seminar, Pat Johnson and Mindy Hubert, SDSU Cooperative Extension, will walk you through the steps of applying for grants and focus on helping communities and individuals develop the skills needed to successfully write and receive a grant for community development.
The Northwest Area Foundation in St. Paul, Minn., funds the Horizons project, which is a 20-month grant project, aimed at reducing poverty and building leadership in rural communities. The free seminar starts at 6:30 p.m. and includes supper. The seminar will be held on Monday, March 17th at the Meade County Extension Office, 1029 5th Street, Sturgis, SD. Registration is required.
