There are many places that you could visit. Whether you planned to be here, or happened by chance, we’re glad you’re here! If you are plannng a visit with us in beautiful Western South Dakota and want more information, let us help. The wide open spaces this great land has to offer, along with a scenic view and quiet country living, are some of the things you will remember forever. Temperatures can range from very hot or very cold in our area, but enjoying the variety of seasons is why many decide to make this their home.

Residential Garbage Collection
Due to the Thanksgiving Holiday, residential garbage will be collected on Wednesday, Nov. 26th. Thank you!

A regular meeting of the Philip City Council was held on Monday, November 3, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. in the Commissioner's Room of the Haakon Co. Courthouse.

NEW RUBBLE SITE HOURS
City of Philip Residents are hereby notified that the City Rubble Site will implement new hours beginning immediately. New hours will be as follows:


Summer Months (May 1st - Oct. 31st) - Open from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

1st & 3rd Saturday of the Month ~ 2nd & 4thFriday of the Month 

Winter Months (Nov. 1st - Apr. 30th)

Residents should call the City Finance Office at 859-2175 during regular office hours of Monday thru Friday, from 8:00-12:00 and 1:00-5:00 to schedule a time to deliver items to the Rubble Site during the week. (*Rubble Site surcharge of 25% will be suspended during the winter months.)
